The National Long-Term Care Ombudsman Resource Center provides a listing for every state’s ombudsment. Long-term care ombudsmen are advocates for residents of nursing homes, board and care homes and assisted living facilities.
How to Find a Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program
The National Resource Center on LGBT Aging provides a suite of in-person and online trainings for all levels of staff and volunteers. These trainings assist you in learning the best ways to create an inclusive, safe, and welcoming environment for your LGBT older adult population.
To request a training please complete our Training Request form. Completed requests will be reviewed by a staff member who will be in touch to discuss your organization’s needs, scheduling, and costs.

Trans Lifeline is a non-profit dedicated to the well being of transgender people. They run a hotline staffed by transgender people for transgender people. Trans Lifeline volunteers are ready to respond to whatever support needs members of the trans community might have.
This is a FREE helpline run by volunteers and supported by the community.

Project HEALTH, a program of Lyon-Martin Health Services, aims to improve access to transgender healthcare on a local, state, and national level through education, advocacy, and organizing.
The Clinical Rotation in Transgender Medicine at Lyon-Martin Health Services allows future and current healthcare professionals from all over the world to shadow experts in transgender health provision at our clinic in San Francisco, CA.
Our in-depth training program offers a variety of training modules to choose from for clinics of all types looking to expand their knowledge and practice of transgender health. Seminars and workshops are also available for schools, employers, and the community.
The TransLine is an e-consultation service for providers across the nation to connect with experts in transgender health. It offers a safe space for providers to get their questions answered and build confidence in providing transgender care. The TransLine was founded in 2012 by Lyon-Martin Health Services and is currently staffed by providers at Lyon-Martin, Fenway Health, The Mazzoni Center, and Chase Brexton Health Care. DATABASE: Respite Locater Service Funded by the Administration for Community Living, US Department of Health and Human Services, State Lifespan Respite Programs or Projects are run by a designated state government lead agency, which works in collaboration with a state respite coalition and an Aging and Disability Resource Center. Their purpose is to implement statewide systems of coordinated, community-based respite for family caregivers caring for individuals with special needs of all ages. Thirty-two states and the District of Columbia have received Lifespan Respite grants from ACL and they are identified below with their contact information.
